locomotion gives you perspective . You learn about the world and yourself . When I first go travel as a racing yacht stewardess , I was like , “ This is so exciting , this is so thrilling . ” travel for piece of work seems really glamorous and you ’re taking the photosout of the plane window . The first clock time I ever travel was when I went to chit-chat some relative in Texas . My first trip that really gave me the locomotion bug , though , was during spring disruption in college when I went toPuerto Ricofor seven years . Those were the unspoilt seven 24-hour interval of my life-time .

My number one office that I require to go to next isLake Tahoeduring the summertime . I hear that it ’s like the Caribbean with the watch crystal - clear blue water , but you ’re surrounded by alpine trees . I reckon that direct contrast would just be so awesome . I went toDClast workweek , which is a beautiful metropolis . There ’s the monument and the statue and it ’s so civilised , but it ’s still a city .

I ’m all window . wholly window . Never middle .
Window shade up or down?
I am window up for takeoff , and I think it irritate some masses sometimes because you ’re letting light in . But I do n’t give care how often you travel on a woodworking plane , it ’s still pretty incredible to be soaring 30,000 feet in the sky . That ’s not a viewpoint you get every day . I never lose my veneration and discernment for seeing the creation from that perspective . And then once the rump bang light comes on , I shut it .
Pack light or overpack?
Pack light . Over the years yachting , I just had a suitcase . For two eld , I did n’t know what country I was going to the next day or how long I ’d be there . So I really dial in my packing . Keep in psyche , I was always going to coastal places where boats would be , with quick weather , a beachy holiday vibe . I would always go for things that were lightweight , various , could be dressed up , could be plume down , could be used in many room . And who does n’t enjoy shopping ? Packing luminousness give you an exculpation to shop .
Favorite way to pass time on a plane
I am always over - ambitious and retrieve , okay , this is the time I ’m going to go through my telephone and delete quondam thing , or I ’m move to get out front of my taxes this one-fourth , or I ’m fail to go answer all those emails . Never . I always order a cocktail , look on a movie , and hopefully shine asleep . Every time , I bring my big holdall with all my pen and my planner and a highlighter and they never get touched .
Biggest travel pet peeve
I hate it , detest it , hate it when you ’re at the baggage claim and people go right up to the boundary . You do n’t bed what guild your bag is coming out in . What if my purse amount out first and now you ’re in the room ? Everyone should stand four feet off , and you only approach the bash when you see your dish and then you step back .
Biggest travel fear
My biggest travel — and this used to happen , though it does n’t happen so much any longer — is when you ’re traveling and your cant sees that you ’re overseas and you ’re become to buy something , and it ’s declined . I ’m like , no , no , no ! You have to call the bank and you ’re embarrassed , but for no ground . Also losing your passport or your Gem State and then being stuck , or getting crazy .
Favorite travel snack
My favorite travel collation is champagne or rosé , because everybody hump an aerodrome . It ’s wide-open . you’re able to order a looking glass of rosé at 11 am and nobody judges you .
Go-to drink order on a plane
I usually do what ’s called a Skinny Bitch ; it ’s a vodka - Diet Coke . I want something strong so I can go to kip .
