While bounteous powder days are usually a skier ’s or a snowboarder ’s dream , the amount of Charles Percy Snow is really too much this time , and it ’s been hard to keep the lifts running .
" While the snow is rattling , our raft operations crews have been working non - stop since the storms depart , " Palisades Tahoe wrote , according toKron4 . " As there is no remainder in stack to the violent storm , we are asking for patience while we continue to savvy out lifts . "

After days of non - stop storms and lift closures , the resort announced that lift operations would be resuming on March 15.“We appreciate your patience with us being closed today : Our teams NEEDED this day to attempt to get forward , " reads aPalisades Tahoe Facebook place . Palisades Tahoe is n’t the only resort in the field that saw its chairlift being buried by snowfall . According to a Facebook mail service , on March 11 , the Heavenly Mountain resort in South Lake Tahoe let so much nose candy that it had to close solely for two twenty-four hour period , while operations crews did their best to dig chairlift out of the blow and get them back in operation .
On Monday , the Sierra - at - Tahoe resort in Twin Bridges also reported record snow numbers , with 619 inches entire so far this season . According to the resort , this is its third highest snow in its history .
