NYC’s unproblematic fave Anna Barger shares her favorite travel memories, inflight essentials, and packing tips

Kelsey Allen : Are you a windowpane , gangway , or in-between can person?Anna Barger : The window , because I lean against it to catch some Z’s .

KA : Do you keep the spook open to bet out at the sky?AB : Yes — how else can you listen to dramatic music other than looking out the windowpane of an airplane ?
KA : What ’s your favorite way to pop off time on a plane?AB : I’m a list - Divine , so I love to make a little to - do leaning . I bed to believe of idea for work and for video ; I ’ll write those down . If there ’s Wi - Fi , I do a little spot of online shopping . I ’ve been looking for furniture , so that was how I spent my last flight .
KA : What do you wear to the airport?AB : It really depends on my modality . I do n’t mind wear out denim , but not on a long flight . If it ’s a long flight , I ’ll wear elevated sweat pants . I have these orangish ace from Australian brand Upside that I wear a lot
KA : How many yoke of shoes do you pack?AB : I feel like I only pack five . I eff a ballet flat because you may pack so many . I really like Dolce Vita ’s and Sam Edelman ’s .
KA : Do you employ packing cubes?AB : I eff packing block . I ’m hooked and I ’ve gotten my friends and family hooked on them , too . They just make everything so much easier . I have some from off … honestly , I have too many . Do you want me to send you some ?
KA : Do you bring a whole skincare routine when you travel?AB : I like to institute at least a moisturizer and a cleanser . I really like the Sunday Riley Vitamin C Moisturizer . This is kind of diva of me , but I do n’t be intimate using the conditioner [ at hotels ] , so I bring my own . Right now we ’re on Kérastase .
KA : What do you need to have on you to survive a flight?AB : My pass over to wipe down the plane . I do n’t regard myself a germaphobe , but I will take my wipes and I will wipe the side . And I ’ll give some to my neighbor . I ’m like , " You want one ? You want one ? " Also my headphones ; I use the Marshall earpiece because they ’re cute .
KA : Do you have a go - to travel snack?AB : If I remember to pack a snack before , so I do n’t spend $ 25 on snacks , it would be the oat coffee chip GoMacro bar .
KA : Do you prefer traveling to cities , countrysides , or beaches?AB : This past twelvemonth of solo travel has been cities , but I ’m really obsessed with the Highland cow . When I go to Dublin , I got on a busbar and live on to the Cliffs of Moher and I saw some highland cattle . So now , I would love to do some variety of countryside misstep and hang out with the cows . Have you seen them before ? They ’re so cute .
KA : What is one thing you always do in every place you travel to?AB : I find a cute girly pop coffee shop . It ’s necessary .
KA : Do you have a favorite one you ’ve been to in your travels?AB : Yes . It ’s called Yusu . It ’s in Amsterdam . The vibe is so lovely , and they have the prettiest pastries . I made a littlesolo date vlogwhile I was there , and then a few month afterward , I went back and the barista was like “ Oh my gosh , we loved your video ” and devote me Yusu jewellery .
KA : What ’s one slip you ’d repeat?AB : Do I want to say Amsterdam ? I have the perfumed girlfriends there , and I love to bike . I get it on Citibiking around New York , but [ it ] is n’t really a biking city . It ’s really scary ; the wheel lanes just finish here ! In Amsterdam , they go around around bike . Some people will go and not want to bike because multitude are really intense , but I ’m like , “ These are my people ! ”
KA : Amsterdam seems so idyllic . AB : Yeah , and the people are genial , too . It ’s like , damn it , you ’re hot and kind !
