A Ben’s Chili Bowl is reportedly set to open at a major US airport. Are we sure about this?
Everybody knows the running jest with chili consumption — and I wo n’t be the one to reprize it for those in the back . permit ’s just say chili dishes have long been associated withbathrooms , and let ’s leave it at that .
Okay , fine , possibly you have an iron stomach and chili dishes do n’t touch on you , but look around a be a tad more empathic , will ya ? Spicy foods — including chile — hold capsaicin , the chemical compound responsible for making naughty food for thought , well , spicy . Capsaicin , however , is also an irritant , and because of how your GI system interacts with it ( countenance ’s just say capsaicin stimulates your GI tract a little extra ) , you might feel the impulse to go ASAP .
Which leads me to my supplication . For the love of every traveller , please stop opening chili eatery at theairport . on the face of it , it ’s a thing — and many travelers ( myself include ) are n’t too well-chosen about it .

According to many responders to the train of thought , that Ben ’s Chili Bowl restaurant does n’t really go there . If anything , it ’s a short frightening . Sadly , though , I ’m go to shatter said opus of hope lead . A Washington Dulles International Airport spokesperson confirmed to Thrillist that Ben ’s Chili Bowl is prepare to open in the B Concourse , closest to gate B-71 .
The porta quarry date , however , is n’t anytime before the end of October or former November — so plan your locomotion consequently . Thanksgiving traveling , however , might get interesting , so sound fortune with that .
