Katy Perry is under investigation after dancing on environmentally protected dunes in Formentera, Spain.

Katy Perry is just having the time of her life in and around the Mediterranean Sea .

Just a couple of days ago , the singerpostedfootage and photos on Instagram of her and her husband , Orlando Bloom , jumping off a eggbeater and into the ocean . As Bloom’svery similar Instagram poststates , the whole endeavor read station off the coast of Sardinia , in the Mediterranean Sea .

If your idea of wilding out in Europe involves jump-start off whirlybird and into in public swimmable sea — go ahead ; you ’re hunky-dory . But the minute you settle to stomp all over protected areas , things take a turn .

Perry is currently facing an investigating lead by the governing of coastal Spain due to her latest music picture for the song " Lifetimes , " in which she ’s seen dance on protect sand sand dune in S’Espalmador , Formentera . Per the Environmental Department of the Balearic Islands’spress release , the dunes are of " great ecological note value , " and visitors are not allowed to step on them . The site is , in fact , roped off .

Technically , one could abuse on these dune , but only if they get proper authorization . According to the Balearic government , Perry ’s production squad did not procure or even apply for such dominance .

Yet Perry ’s squad begs to take issue . A label spokesperson toldThe Cutthat " the local video production company assured us that all necessary license for the telecasting were secure . " However , the voice also add that they had just learned that one licence was still being sue but that they had get verbal authorization to proceed with filming . " We adhered to all regularisation relate with film in this country and have the utmost respect for this location and the officials tasked with protect it , " the spokesperson add .

But because an investigation is still underway — and because , in hypothesis , the law is equal for all — Perry might still get fined for her actions .
