New York City has its knocker , whether that ’s due to noise , price of aliveness , or even the urban center ’s magnificently gruff residents . But according to those who actually live in the urban center , life in the Big Apple is reasonably great , a novel survey evidence .
As part ofThe life Portrait of NYCimmersive experience presented by Citizens , New Yorkers were interview and surveyed to answer all kinds of questions commit to NYC . After 400 hour of consultation and 5,000 sight responses , data showed that the average New Yorker cares deeply about the metropolis they live in .
The direction the urban center impacts its residents seems to start from within . An impressive 72 % said that survive in NYC get them more empathetic , and 62 % let in it makes them more affirmative . Of all boroughs , the Bronx wins the golden medal for being the most optimistic borough in NYC .

Optimism and happiness likely have to do with the relationship New Yorkers variant along the style . Nearly 1 - in-5 New Yorkers say that being around citizenry who empathise them and finding their own community is what maintain them glue to the city , and 82 % of them said that they met their closest friends in the Big Apple .
