I ask to talk about the stage dancing telecasting you did toJanet Jackson ’s “ If . ”I had the cassette single when I was 10 year sometime and it was my first introduction to Janet . What made you pick that song ?
It ’s definitely one of her most iconic in terms of dance . I ’m not a professional terpsichorean by deal , but I would fence that , for those who consider choreography and who are interested in the history of pop dance , it ’s probably one of the top ten piece . This was my first chance to watch people plug into to this music , which is about my most late family relationship . It was the best one I ’d been in so far . With a mass of the other relationships I ’ve had , if you ’re date someone in the closet , it has a lot of the same , um , features as a lot of trans the great unwashed and especially trans women feel date people who do n’t place with being queer . They ’re straight , but they do n’t recognize how to publicly navigate their connection to dating a trans person , which oftentimes imply a lot of secrecy , a lot of disgrace . This was the first time I date someone who was n’t in that state of affairs . We were just out in populace doing our affair . We would argue about the dumbest , regular things : what to watch , the toilet stern . It was novel .

I just love that the cast is so diverse and so strong in comedy .
