For Elon Musk , the world ’s richest and most online man , it looks like a whimsical concept from2018 , to change by reversal one of the forthcoming Tesla Supercharger station in LA into an “ old - schooling drive - in , ” with roller skate and all . According to a theme fromelectrekand Twitter user@MarcoRPtesla , Tesla , the electric railroad car and DOE companionship where Musk has serve as CEO since 2008 , has filed plans to build a 29 - kiosk supercharger station and a combined eating house and drive - in theater on Santa Monica Blvd just east of La Brea Ave .
The location is currently aShakey ’s Pizza , which would presumably have to close and then be demolished before Musk ’s American Graffiti fantasy can be brought to life . The design call for a two - level restaurant , with a bar and seating on the first floor , and another bar and some theater seating area on the 2nd trading floor . There is no indication yet about the carte or type of food to be served , but with two bars on the property we can only hope it will be square enough to help keep all those Tesla number one wood from needing theirautopilot .
The plan also include two large screens along the North and West border of the restaurant that will be visible both by people sit on a higher floor and from cars excite in the repel - in section . The screens are supposed to bring 30 - minute feature , design to last around as long as it takes for an ordinary charging session . It ’s not clear exactly what that mean , but would Musk perhaps consider using some of his fortune to get theQuibiband back together ?

But with this restaurant it seems that Musk destine to puzzle out two problems of his own creation : what do you do while your Tesla flush , and how can everyone else avoid as many Tesla drivers as possible ?
