Word-of-mouth travel advice isn’t guaranteed to be good, a recent Reddit thread points out.
Oftentimes , the absolute good travel recommendations do n’t come from blogs , guidebooks , or evenTikTok travel influencers . They come from masses you talk to , shared bits of info in hostel anteroom and in airport security lines , from mutual friends or your parents ' well trip neighbor .
But as often as those titbit of advice can be extremely illuminating , sometimes those travel top can just be outright incorrect . At least , wrong for you . On ther / move around Reddit community of interests , one user recently pose the question : " What ’s a city everyone told you not to go to that you cease up loving ? "
The answer were wide-ranging and extensive , identifying many travel destinations that do n’t always get a fair shake .

" For inside the USA I have to say Baltimore . Everyone tell me I ’d be waste my clock time visiting , but I took the Amtrak string up one mean solar day and fuck it . With big cities especially , the negative reviews from others might have more to do with other travelers ' own ability to enjoy themselves , not what the metropolis has to propose .
