This series of change to Powder Mountain by Hastings has received mixed reviews . Redditorscomment that while some of the changes , like the raw high - speed lifts , are neat , turning into a semi - private resort mean “ they are shut down public approach to Mary ’s and Village lifts so the hoi polloi who own real demesne on the wad can have memory access to a private ski area , ” as well as “ closing public access to Raintree . Some of the best skiing on the mountain . ” Essentially , skiers wo n’t have access to some of their favorite runs . These privatize action plus the step-up in time of year base on balls have left longtime Powder Mountain skier disappointed .
At this point , it ’s a waiting plot to see if these big motion ante up off for Powder Mountain . But , we ’d be lying if we say a skiable museum did n’t soundsocool to us .
