The resort , which opened in 1948 , also features Michigan ’s enceinte indoor waterpark , an 18,500 - square - ft spa , a duo of golf game course , and option for seasonal activities like glass skating , ziplining , and horseback horseback riding .
To walk the span , you ’ll have to take a chairlift to the top , the announcement says . Once you ’re there , the open - air bridge is just five feet across and 118 feet above the vale below . The bridge also connect to the local trail scheme and is illuminated at night .
